Hello, I'm Maureen!
Capturing the love between pets and their people.
The Heart Behind Lynchburg Pawtraits
Lynchburg Pawtraits was inspired by two very special pets of my own—Ember and Maddie.
Ember
In 2014, Ember was a stray kitten who showed up at our home and quickly became part of our family. She came into my life at exactly the time I needed her most, as if she knew she was meant to be there. We were lucky to share eleven wonderful years together. Ember passed away on January 5, 2025, and she will always hold a special place in my heart.
Maddie
Maddie, one of my beloved Golden Retrievers, was my goofy goober, my beach pup, and my pool-loving “goldfish.” She faced more challenges than most dogs ever should—battling two types of cancer, undergoing multiple surgeries, and bravely going through chemotherapy. Through it all, she remained strong, joyful, and full of love. Her resilience continues to amaze me, and her big-hearted, playful spirit is something I will always carry with me. Maddie earned her wings on December 5, 2025, exactly eleven months after Ember.
The Bond We Share
Because of Ember and Maddie, I understand just how deep the bond between pets and their people truly is. They are not just part of our lives—they are part of who we are, woven into our routines, our memories, and our hearts.
The Tilly Project
I am also a proud affiliate of The Tilly Project, which supports pet photographers who offer discounted end-of-life sessions so families can preserve meaningful memories during difficult times. If you would like more information about these sessions, please visit the Legacy Package and End-of-Life Sessions tab.
More Than End-of-Life Sessions
While it is an honor to offer end-of-life sessions, that is only one part of what I do. At its core, my work is about celebrating the everyday life you share with your pets—the quiet moments, the joy, the connection, and the love that fills your home.
My sessions are designed as family photography with your pets, capturing the relationships and moments that make your story uniquely yours. Whether it’s playful energy, quiet companionship, or the way your pet fits so naturally into your life, those are the moments worth preserving.
A Lasting Legacy
It would truly be my honor to create timeless, heartfelt sessions that celebrate the bond you share with the pets who mean everything to you.
